Feeling Ciphers Thinking Sounds
Barbara Evan

In this exhibit it’s clear that Barbara has been playing with line. Her current work illustrates a few of the innumerable ways line can evoke feeling and suggest meaning. Sometimes the lines even seem to carry sound.

Barbara Evan received a BA in English in 1968, then returned to school many years later, graduating again in 1992 with a BA degree in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota. She’s had a studio in St Paul’s Lowertown since 1999. Her work has frequently been used in publicity for the St Paul Art Crawl. It has also been shown in galleries and other venues in the Twin Cities and Wisconsin.
